December blogging – Christmas Decorating!

Well, unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures of us decorating at our house this year, but we did get some of the kids helping at Grandmom’s house! The boys were really into it this year, especially Joshua. Even after all the kids had moved on to another activity Joshua just kept on working until the job was done

I think the boys’ favorite part was climbing the ladder to hang ornaments! We had to encourage them to decorate other areas of the tree as well!

Zachary was able to help as well, with a little help from Granddad!

They even got high enough to put the angel on top, made mommy a little nervous!

It is always fun to help decorate at my in-laws, they have lots and LOTS of fun decorations We actually haven’t had a full size tree at our house since our first year of marriage. Once we had kids we didn’t want to take up space in our small living room for a big tree so we just had a small tree on a table. Now that we have a bigger house we found ourselves with no tree but plenty of room to put one! Thankfully we had some good friends who let us borrow their tree, it was so nice! I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy having a full size tree again and the boys loved getting up each morning in turning the lights on The night we decorated our tree they were so excited that they were literally running back and forth to retrieve ornaments as I took them from their boxes and we ended up with about 8 broken ornaments because they kept falling with them or dropping them. Crazy kids! The only picture I have of our tree is of the boys before their Christmas program at school…..being silly of course!
